Last Call for Submissions

The Toronto Blues Society invites Canadian blues acts who have not made a nationally distributed or major label recording to enter our seventh annual Talent Search.

Deadline for submissions is Friday, May 10, 2002, 5pm.

The winning act will receive a showcase engagement during Labatt's Blues Festival at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre July 5-7, a recording of the above broadcast on CBC Radio's Saturday Night Blues and a $1000 cash prize, as part of CBC Galaxie's Rising Stars Program and more

To Enter: Send a cassette or CD with three songs selected (material must have been recorded during the past two years - original material is encouraged). Entry fee is $10. All entries become the property of the Toronto Blues Society and will not be returned. A screening panel will choose six acts, each of whom will perform one live set in our finals.

Finalists will receive a $300 honourarium for their performance. Finalists must be available to play a one 45 minute on Thursday, May 30 or Friday, May 31, 2002
