Mapleblue-L Email Group
LIST DESCRIPTION
MAPLEBLUE-L is an e-mail group for the distribution of news and
announcements of interest to the Canadian blues community. It is
owned by the Toronto Blues Society and moderated by Ian Angus.
Membership is open to anyone who is interested in what's happening in
Canadian blues.
Our goal is to provide a place where people who want to get Canadian
blues news can find it quickly and easily. Appropriate posts include
news and announcements about Canadian blues events and developments,
such as gig announcements, lists of coming shows, CD releases,
Canadian radio playlists, notices of deadlines for blues
publications, obituaries, gear for sale, notices of opportunities for
blues musicians, etc.
The group is "unmoderated" in the sense that messages sent to the
list will normally be distributed automatically, with no pre-
screening. However, anyone who persistently posts inappropriate
messages may lose posting privileges.
Because this is a group for announcements, not discussion, it is
configured so that replies go to the message originator, not to the
list as a whole.
There are other excellent e-mail groups for general discussion of
Canadian blues. The Toronto Blues Society encourages everyone who
loves Canadian blues and wants to participate in continuing
discussion with others in the blues community to join and participate
in those groups. (see below for suggestions)
Members who wish to crosspost messages to this list and others may do
so, so long as the message meets the Mapleblue-l guidelines.
