1999 Maple Blues Awards Nominations


Here are the Nominees for the Third Annual Maple Blues Awards. The nominations were made by an independent panel of blues DJs, journalists and musicians from across Canada, including all 10 provinces. The final ballot includes a write-in line in each category.
The awards are organized and presented by the Toronto Blues Society, and sponsored by Bell Actimedia.
 
Members of the Toronto Blues Society will receive ballots in the mail soon. If you aren't a TBS member and would like to vote, send a a stamped self-addressed business-size envelope to TORONTO BLUES SOCIETY, 910 Queen St. W., Suite B04, Toronto, ON M6J 1G6. Don't delay -- ballots must be returned by December 31.
 
The ballots will be counted by the accounting firm Porter Hetu International, and the results will be announced at a gala banquet in Toronto on February 8, 2000.

Maple Blues Awards The Third Annual Maple Blues Awards Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 8. This year's event will include great food, entertainment, special guests ... and above all, the announcement and presentation of awards recognizing the best and brightest stars in Canada's blues community.

The Maple Blues Awards are organized and presented by the Toronto Blues Society, to recognize outstanding achievement in Canadian blues music. The nominees are selected by a distinguished panel of blues DJs, journalists, musicians and promoters from across Canada. Members of the Nominating Panel are not eligible for any of the awards. All members of the Toronto Blues Society will receive a ballot in the mail shortly. Non members who wish to participate in the voting should send a stamped self-addressed envelope to the TBS Office. Please complete your ballot and mail it back right away to be counted, ballots must be received at Porter Hetu International by December 31.
