The son of late harmonica master Carey Bell, guitarist/vocalist, Lurrie Bell was playing with Freddie Dixon at 17 and later playing with Billy Branch in The Sons of The Blues. At 20 he was a member of Koko Taylor's band and he has four highly acclaimed recordings on the Delmark label. He plays the Silver Dollar Room on Friday February 8. |
