 Ndidi Onukwulu's debut CD "No I Never" launched like a rocket and landed at #1 at the CIUT chart shortly after take off. Ndidi will perform with Madagascar Slim on a MayWorks lineup taking place at the Steelworkers Hall, 25 Cecil Street, April 29 and is featured on CBC Radio One's "Fuse" national broadcast in a mash-up with Slim and Vancouver's hiphop Woodie Guthrie, Ridley Bent, on Saturday, April 15, 9pm.  James Hunter is a virtual unknown in North America, but has made a name for himself in the UK as "one of the best blue-eyed soul singers to emerge in the late 20th Century." He has toured extensively with Van Morrison, singing alongside such luminaries as John Lee Hooker, Junior Wells, Jimmy Witherspoon and Georgie Fame and is featured on Morrison's live album A Night in San Francisco and the studio recording Days Like This. He appears in Toronto supporting his first North American release 'People Gonna Talk' (GO Records/Rounder). See him at the Supermarket, Wednesday, April 12. |

Eddie Turner when he was in town providing the "otherworldly atmospherics" in Otis Taylor's band at the launch of NorthernBlues
Records. Turner's back with his own band and his own CD, on NorthernBlues, produced by Kenny Passarelli,
who was also part of the Otis Taylor group. He plays the Silver Dollar on
April 29 and the Rainbow in Ottawa on April 28. |
