FATHEAD is (l. to. r.) Teddy Leonard, Hayden Vialva, Omar Tunoch, Al Lerman and John Mays. They celebrate the release of their fourth CD, a live album recorded at the Silver Dollar, at (where else?) the Silver Dollar Room, Thursday January 27, 2005. IThat's followed by the Innisfil/Barrie Blues Fest (Feb 3), Slye Fox, Burlington (Feb 15), Chicago's East, Oshawa (Feb 19) and back to the Silver Dollar Room Feb 26. The band is known for packing the dancefloor wherever they play and Livelier Than Ever! demonstrates how they do it. And now you won't have to wait for Ian Angus's radio show to hear their great version of "Let The Good Times Roll" which they recorded for Ian's theme song. John Mays won "Male Vocalist of the Year" in this year's Maple Blues Awards - one more trophy to add to their previous MBA's ("Electric Act Of The Year", "Vocalist Of The Year", "Guitarist Of The Year", their Juno Award (for Blues Weather) and the Jazz Report Award ("Blues Group Of The Year").

Downchild`s Gary Kendall will be touring Southern Ontario`s favourite Blues Clubs with his own band over the next few months promoting his new solo CD "Dusty & Pearl". Since the release date in early December, the recording has been well received by critics and is gaining radio airplay across Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe. The live performance combines the majority of the tunes from "Dusty & Pearl", mixed with classic blues and each band member is given a featured spot in the show. You can pick up your copy directly from him at any of these gigs: Sticky Fingers in Barrie on February 4, Chicago's downtown on February 5th, Grossman's on February 11, The Double Olive in St. Catharines on Feb 12th or the Red Dog in Peterborough on Mar 11 .
