Little Bobby and the Jump Starts

Fronted by: Rob Chorney, vocals and harmonica with Peter Schmidt on guitar
Style:
Jump, West Coast Swing and Chicago-style blues
Home Base:
Whitby, Ontario
Influences:
Sonny Boy Williamson II, Little Walter, James Harmon

Strangest Moment on the gig: In Oshawa a while back, Rob sat down on the break to talk with someone in the audience about harmonicas - a mild-mannered nice guy and he talked to him for most of the break and when they were about to go back on, the guy's buddy comes over and says it's his birthday and it would be great if they could let him up to play a song. Since he seemed like a nice guy, Bob said sure and partway into the set, they invited him up. He hits the stage and does a complete "Jekyll & Hyde", starts jumping around, wailing and screaming and for the finale of his tune, completely destroys Bobby's microphone and leaves the stage.

Upcoming gigs: Feb 12, Boomers in London, Feb 25: Legends in Lindsay and Chicago's in March. Bobby is currently working on his first recording.
